The Almanac On-Line is a set of pages containing Java applets that predict a selection of Astronomic, statistical and geophysical
data. Select a page of interest from the menu tabs at the head of this page.
You'll need a browser that supports Java to display these applets.
They work best on medium and low resolution displays where the larger ones fit
easily into the screen area without scroll bars. Loading applets may take a few
moments so please be patient if you have a slow connection.
Screen Area
Almanac On-Line performs best with screen areas of 800 X 600 or
larger. With smaller areas some images will be larger than the screen
and you'll need to use scroll bars to access all parts.
Browser Warning
These applets have been tested under Internet Explorer 4, 5 & 6 but, sadly, not
all browsers interpret Java in quite the same way. If you are using another
browser and suspect the results, please first make sure that your browser has
the most recent Java Virtual Machine. If you are still unable to resolve the
difficulties, send us an
email with the details
